White Milk Sauce
1 cup (250 ml) milk
1 Tbsp (15 ml) corn starch
1/4 cup (65 ml) white sugar
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla to taste
1. Warm milk, add sugar and stir in cornstarch.
2. Cook a few minutes until sauce begins to thicken
3. Add vanilla to taste. (Use white or clear vanilla to keep sauce white.)
4. Serve warm as a dessert topping.
(A family tradition. Serve over Christmas Carrot Pudding)
You may need to double the recipe. Use with Christmas Pudding
